We at Dee Foundation are making smart and effective investments, in the education sector, which is critical for the development of human capital, to bring an end to extreme poverty. The core of our strategy is – to reform the needs and tackle the learning crisis, putting an end to Learning Poverty - helping the youth acquire the skills, needed to succeed in today’s world, through the following initiatives:

    1. STEM Education – aims at skilling an individual making them employable to meet the current labour demand. Each STEM component will bring a valuable contribution, to a well-rounded education.
    2. Skilling in Schools - the New Education Policy 2020 has ushered in innovative approaches to learning, by adding job-oriented and job-linked inputs in the school curriculum, by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). In India, skill-based education is considered a vocational skill, obtained through short-term training or courses, which are not a part of formal education sector, thus providing employment in informal sectors.
    3. Remedial Education - is also known as developmental or compensatory education, which is designed, to help children achieve their expected level of competency in core academic skills, like literacy and numeracy.
    4. Adult Education – encourages education from the age group of 18 and above, to teach them basics of education, motivating them to not only read and write their own name, but also learn to sign, instead of using their thumb print.
    5. Vocational Training – has been an important fragment of education development in India. The first five-year plan and its subsequent education policies, have laid stress on the vocational training of the youth in India.

      WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Women empowerment is promotion of women's sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices and their right to influence a social change. It is something that is being considered as a “new management style” for the companies these days. Private companies and various Government establishments are continuously formulating new policies, thereby developing a future framework, to meet women’s employee – expectations. To accomplish the purpose, related goals have been set up, enabling them to take control of their jobs and develop new skills, which they were never aware of.

Dee Foundation group has always collaborated with its Corporate & Knowledge partners, promoting Women Empowerment by organising numerous ‘women only’ - Vocational Training Centres for their copious ‘CSR Initiatives’. Corporate world now, mentions women in every possible area / field, in which it functions, recognising their moral responsibility towards society. Lok Bharti group is building future relationships with likeminded organizations / industries, implementing unique ‘women centric’ programs providing them with required opportunity, by skilling them according to their ability – in the specific / new domains, subsequently creating a trained ‘women workforce’. Whereas, Narendra Modi led Indian Government has launched flagship schemes to promote gender equality like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter), Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (a scheme to provide gas connections to women from below the poverty line households) and Mahila-E-Haat.

Dee Foundation plans to “Empower the Women”, by:

      1. Placing women as leaders and giving them decision making roles.
      2. Investing in – Women’ Entrepreneurial Ideas.
      3. Mentoring them professionally as well as personally.
      4. Promoting women's sense of self-worth.
      5. Creating favourable ‘job opportunities’ for them.
      6. Acknowledging the thoughts, to have determined choices.
      7. Developing access towards new and essential resources.
      8. Stimulating the power to control their own lives, both within and outside the households.

Dee Foundation underlines the importance of ‘Women Empowerment’ with effective policies, backed by determined actions to accord them. Their due rights and equal opportunities will be critical, in bolstering the overall efforts of fostering their growth as well as social advancement, also helping in prevention of sexual violence, against the women.
